04/07/06 01:04 AM04/07/06 01:04 AM #1 On the freeway the other day following a truck loaded with gravel. A bunch of it falls through the trucks rear gate and onto the roadway and the front of my car cops it all. One shattered fog light out of it.So is the trucky at fault for not securing his load. I think so and will ask my insurance company about it.Any idea how much a new foggy is going to set me back incase im up for it.
04/07/06 01:45 AM04/07/06 01:45 AM #2 About $80 for a complete unit I think.Get the protectors to put over the front while your at it.

04/07/06 03:02 AM04/07/06 03:02 AM #6 The headlamp protectors are a waste of money as the headlights are plastic anyhow and will pretty much resist chips. The foglight protectors are money well spent though.lol @ shaz's quotes.. the gal knows her stuff
04/07/06 12:22 PM04/07/06 12:22 PM #7 I was overtaking a Logging truck on the hume last week when a small 30omm x 40mm branch fell off and came straight for me. As there was a car beside and behind me, all I could do was swear a lot. It bounced once or twice and then bang..... a small mark on the lower sentre section of the bar and a wooden spear sticking out of the lower grille.Lucky it was an F6 with a grill or I would have had a hunk of wood stuck through my intercooler.

The lower grille was put on the next week. shazzy
04/07/06 11:46 PM04/07/06 11:46 PM #9 Author I had the lower grill put on for exactly this reason but didnt help the fog light. I suppose alot cheaper to replace a foggy then everything else that could have been hit.
05/07/06 12:29 AM05/07/06 12:29 AM #10 Bloody Trucks I cant stand them on the road but that's part of every day life I guess. I never sit behind a truck, even though he has secure load, the wake from a semi can easily pick up stones from the side of the road spraying them all over your car.Rob...
