I had the Kawasaki ER-5 to learn on and then for 3 years afterwards.

Brilliant bike to learn on, easy to ride and comfortable.

Miss the Kwakka (as my boys called it) it like my leg to be honest, but with a young family the decision was made for me... :(

I'll end up getting a nice bike again one day, at the moment got my eye on a ZX12R or ZZR1200... :)

I can remember on the Tasmania Mk I trip when cruising with DucattiJB he was pointing out potential hazards for bikers every other mile! Dirt across the road here, invisible pothole there, wire barrier over yonder! Not even a second thought in any car but fatality waiting to happen if you let your head get the better of you. :spoton: It was a real eye-opener to the dangers.

I have wanted a bike for a few years but I KNOW I'm bad enough in a car, let alone without a metal shell wrapped around me, I'd end up a statistic for sure. That and a solemn promise to Dad that I wouldn't become a 'temporary australian'.

Lumpy

I think it's so big because all of us Horsepower junkies love speed and that's one thing Bikes will give you a major buzz over.

OH and everyone has there opinion about what bike someone else should buy !!!!
