As far as I know sleek there isn't a way to change the harshness of the rev limit... it's probably best not to hit the limiter, but from my experience it takes a little getting used to just how quickly these cars rev out, my last car took ages to rev out...

Jack

there is a soft touch and an engine cut limit.

that's corect and its adjustable on both counts

need to play more with 6 speed trans shifts so a deal can be had!!!

Sorry if im asking things that have been covered before, I did try a search to no avail.

Is there something in the flash that can change the rev limiter from a harsh limiter to a soft limiter but still do its job (limit the revs)?

A bit of a shock coming from my Clubsport R8 that when you hit limiter just sat there, to the F6 which dies in the arse, and with it reving so dam quick (compared to the LS1 anyway haha), ive been caught out a few times!

There is only a true hard limit which can be adjusted, however there are other ways to help reduce the likelihood of actually hitting it that in effect can act as a soft limit - speak to your tuner.

As for your original qn - the flasher hardware is the same between an XR6T and a Typhoon, but the software files you need to flash are not. Each ECU has a processor code, and there are a range of codes even between XR6T's. It is important the the correct version of the processor code is used as the basis for the edited file.

Cheers,

Ben.
