Photoshop Please

Can someone who is good with photoshop put some Mk2 XR rims onto my Escort please.

The wheels in this photo are 15s - so need to be a bit bigger, but I am aiming for lower profile tyres.

PS - the car does have falcon stud pattern.

The Escort is a 1969 Mk1 - started life as a 1300. It was turned into a rally car shortly after, and has been raced most of its life.

It now has a Capri 3 litre v6 motor, race cam, Holly four barrel carb, headers etc. Makes decent power for an old thing - lots of torque for a fairly light car (I think it was around the 900kg mark). I always intended to add a 289 V8 - but have just battled on with the V6.

The gearbox is from a Falcon GT from several years ago - a Borg Warner T2 close ratio box, quite small compared to the toloader - alloy case, quite light.

Diff is from a Falcon Ute, Limited Slip, Full Floating axles (hub has a bearing that keeps the car upright if you break an axle). Front brakes are vented discs - a Ford Motorsport part - not huge, but work well. Front Hubs are from a Mk4 Zephyr - making the stud pattern 5 stud.

As you can see the body has the huge flared guards, and can fit quite fat tyres, I think they are 235s in the photo.

The motor has been moved back heaps, meaning the tunnel is completely new. The middle of the motor is under the base of the windscreen.

Suspension is Bilstein struts up front, and turreted at back, with panhard rods and anti-tramp rods.

This car is the most neutral car I have ever driven (50:50 weight distribution), you can slide it at insane angles, and still go where you want to (I swear I was going so side on it was bordering on backwards once, and still got it back the right way).

Great fun car. Only issue - I have had it in bits for years. It is basically back together now... must get my ass into gear.

I was thinking of maybe using the 17s as street tyres on the Escort if I ever got bigger wheels for the XR.

That was the first car I ever had... Escort Mk 1, I think it was the GT version?

It was the 2 door version with the 1.6, I think it was called a GT..

Obviously not as nice as yours.. mine only cost me $200 ... but she was a beauty... gave it to my brother in law and he killed it within 2 months...

Wish I had space to restore an Escort. Ive always wanted a 2 door Escort with widebody flared guards.

Heres pics as promised. Its only a 10 minute job as im still at work - Dont have the time at the moment to blend them into the picture any better.

Thanks Bain - that is a pretty great effort.

I am not sure if I like the look or not - they certainly could work. May have to pull them off the Falcon and try them out.
