If you launch to the car's ability and then just drive it to the line you'll do sub 14sec. I don't know about your driving but the car is capable of probably 13.97secs.

You'd need a few more zero's on that figure cob, Ive done it on a dirt road in a Datsun 1200. The beast wasnt too straight after rolling 3 times but walked away with a cut eye and a sore neck. Ah...the teen years I wonder what would happen on the black gear?????

Hey by the way, do you need register for the Test N Tune or do you just rock up there. Had a look on the willowbank site and couldnt find anything about registering for the meet....

I used to do hanbrake turns all the time in my mini when I was young- that was great fun.

Most drag race venues have a amateur day, or at worst you can join as a day member. That is in NZ - sure it is similar over there?

Just rock up mate, you have to bring a helmet with a visible AS sticker on it and long pants, long sleeve shirt and covered footwear and then your ready to race. I think its about $34 to race and that gets 1 passenger in as well.

Just an update.

Ive had some great advice from the auto lads out there and all is looking good.

Have just learnt that you nail it on the last amber not the green, but if Im racing against a time only this wont mean sh*t because the timer doesnt start until I leave the beam. The things us green racers dont know....geeeez

My mate has checked this forum and is starting to think his 14.3 bet is too easy and he's trying for 14.1. Bets a bet sunshine..... and 14.3 stands:kissmy:

Give us a yell if anyone wants to cruise out there on Saturday 3rd. Its $36 for racing which includes 1 other in the car(or ute)Would be good if other stockies or modsters had a go to compare for Geea's thread on 1/4 times.
