Went out to Calder last night, 1st time I had a chance to race in nice conditions.

Scored a 12.30@115 2.09 - 60 foot & a 12.37 were my 2 best times.

my previous best was 12.68 and the only thing I done different is let the auto do the shifting on its own.

If you haven't read the tech article on the ZF 6 speed have a read, its got some exclusive functions for the F6 only.

Toyo Proxes tyres, 968 injectors, APS exhaust, walbro fuel pump, edit tuned by Sydney Tuner thx Spiro.

Also caught with Geea and met Dave they were flying, a XR6T with factory x over pipe standard air box seen it do a 11.3 over 120 mph top stuff.

PS: still waiting patiently for the Auto edit software so I can run a Hi-Stall, my 60 foot needs attention.

It was great catching up with you and Rod, Mark. that's a nice ride you have. When you get the stall sorted you'll be going even quicker. :spoton:

Hi Habib,

Ive got A BF XR6T with the ZF 6speed, where can we find this tech article on it?

Also is there any major differences between the F6 and XR when it comes to the auto?

Regards

Mark

Habbib,

Impressive results for just edit and injectors - Ford have built a real weapon in the Phoon.

Well done.

its about 300rwkw..

The 2.09 on the 60 foot is my problem, I cant leave the line on boost, soon as we edit software for auto and hi-stall, I think 11's should be on the cards.

Ask Geea I am no light weight, I put my car on Brooklyn weigh bridge race weight 1910kg with driver, Half a tank of fuel without half a tank it surges at the top end.

The way my car is driven on the street is the way its raced.

asromanut either PM me your email addy or post it and I will email that Tech article. Here is a interesting extract it doesn't say anything about it doing the same thing on the XR6T.

''The transmission also has transient rpm limit that allows the F6 270 Turbo engine to momentarily exceed the prescribed rev limit during upshifting. This enables wide open throttle upshifting of gears to be scheduled at an engine speed closer to the rev limiter than would otherwise be possible.

The transient rpm feature allows the engine to exceed 6000 rpm - up to 6250 rpm - while the transmission is completing the gear change, thereby taking full advantage of the high engine performance of the F6 270 Turbo engines.

A host of advanced features are accessible to the driver as part of the Driver Recognition software with the six-speed automatic transmission''

Hi Habib,

Thanks for the link man.. great read with alot of useful info.

From my understanding is that the ZF is the same as in the F6 and in the T and that the NA XR get the lower rated ZF.. is this correct?

Also im about to get a custom edit done by nizpro, would u recommend me waiting a little while longer until they can have full control over the auto or just get the edit and be done with it? How is your auto coping with the torque so far?
