Posted 07/04/06 09:45 AM Share Posted 07/04/06 09:45 AM My car was edited last Friday (270rwkw) and it's a manual (T5) and it's looks as though I'll get about 450km's to this tank... city driving to and from work... and I can't keep off the thing with my new found power!!! Love it...My best mate has an LS1 (VU SS) with edit only, 3.9's, full exhaust with 4 hotdogs and K&N power intake and he gets about 350km's (at best) to a tank... if we ever go anywhere further than the city we take my car because it's SO MUCH better on fuel...Jack Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/24582-big-numbers/page/2/#findComment-368304 Share on other sites

Currently running 273rwkw. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/24582-big-numbers/page/2/#findComment-368323 Share on other sites

I thought it was because of the power they were making but it seemes like the ford turbos seem to be consuming alot less with equal or more power but I guess its upto the way you drive the thing aswell Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/24582-big-numbers/page/2/#findComment-368407 Share on other sites

I imagine the difference between the two is because at least with the T you have the choice of leaning on it or driving around to get good consumption figures... if I drive my car around under 3,000 RPM I get incredible figures (mid 12's to mid 13's) even around town... if my mate in his ute does this he gets good figures (16's) rather than horrilbe ones (20 plus)... get what I mean? I'd hate to think what a 'Higgins Head and Cam Package' LS1 gets around town...Jack Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/24582-big-numbers/page/2/#findComment-368416 Share on other sites
