Wheel Shaking @ 80kph

hello everyone

just a quick one. I have recently had some suspension work done on the car. no problems but have noticed that the steering wheel shakes at around 70 - 80kph but stops at faster speeds.

it is a slight but constant shake.

I know that they have done a wheel balance but not alignement. could this be it.

oh and it also 2 brand new tyres on the front.

any ideas?

Almost certainly a tyre out of balance (front).

could also br a flat spot on the tyre from packing/transport??

I had a set of tyres for another car once that could be balanced, but felt like they wernt. What it was ... they make a tyre by overlapping various layers of rubber, steel belts etc, and apparently - mine was overlapped too thick - and the tyre was out of round (you could see it on the tyre balancing machine).

Solution was - tyres were replaced.

they have been balanced though. could it be that it has not been aligned.

alignment has nothing to do with balance, I would be thinking faulty tyre or a wheel weight come off? Or just a poor balance maybe but not alignment

You can't really, have to get a rebalance. mt suggestion is take it back mate and tell them the problem
