Force Flow

Hi guys,

Force flow

Please take a look and try not to piss yourself to much.

We've all seen these kits around before and there thought of as a bit of a joke (maybe rightly so), but has any one ever tried one before?

Quick off topic b**ch don't worry you'll soon see why, at the FPV open day BP showed off 2 GTs on 2 dynos at the same time to show the diff between BP's unleaded and their 98 ron, results showed a diff of about 7rwkw at the top end, but isn't the GT tuned for 98ron and would run like sh*t on regular unleaded??? Is this all in the tuning.

Along the same lines, bad planing or very little thought went into the facts printed on the Force flow site.

The www.force-flow.com web site show their stock test on the dyno was done using the regular stock filter (best I can tell) then they fit the electric blower and 7rwhp up over stock she go's. My problem with this is why didn't they just fit the blower and turn it off and run it???

Final question why do a power test on a dyno in 2nd gear??? Could it be theres bugger all gains to be had in 4th???

Anyone in QLD willing to nag and test unit out of this mob and do some real R'n'D?

Do you think the BP guys and the Force flow guys went to dyno school together???

After all that bagg'en out of this product Id love to see one put to action on a N/A XR6 just don't want to pay for somthing that don't work. Been there done that.

Looks dodgy, that said 7kw for $600 not a good gain.

Exactly!!! Why would you bother for 7kw??

Testing looks real dodgy but a 7Kw gain at $600 gets the ears up don't it.

Somthing like this for N/A owners gets the blood pumping if it works but $600 for nothing but a pod filter would get your blood boil'en.

right you are two mate, $600 buys you a fist full to KW when your driven a Turbo but when you vehicles a N/A any lov'en good lov'en and I'll take what I can get.

Please don't think Im for this mod bugger know if they work, long live the debate over electric blower.

Ive never had a real tuner try to sell me one infact Ive only ever seen them being flogged on ebay.

The Boss 290 engine is tuned for 95RON fuel.

R U sure only 95 for the 290 Boss, a mate of mine swears blind his AU 250 Pursuite ute is tuned for 95 as that was the highest octain on the Aussie market back then and he tell me his BA GT is tuned for 98 ron???

I had my car on the Dyno last Thursday... Turns out I have a dirty air filter that was costing me, yes that's right, about 7rwkw... bugger spending $600 :spoton:

An electric turbo/supercharger is an interesting idea, would be cool to have boost at idle rpm. Julian Edger who worte the book "21st Century performance" strapped a 240V leaf blower to an engine and measured a few KW gain...

To get an electric motor to spin up to the speed needed, to force a decent amount of boost, the physics of it are just to hard...

Then again wasn't it Volvo or someone who toyed with the idea, seriuosly, recently???

DBOSS went all the way to Melbourne for 6kw. :spoton:
