hrm... Ordered my car last Thursday (19th June) and my dealer said I could get it in August, most Likely September but even possibly in October. Like I've meantioned in other furms, the dealers are pretty peeved aswell. They want Ford to build more T's and less wagons and taxi's. Another downer is that one of the salesman (from a dealer I didn't buy from) said that there is a huge government order about to go through (I think he said something like 1500 Falcons).

Geez, this is getting dpressing, even though I've only waited 6 days... I feel sorry for the people waiting for months and months and months... Argh!

I doubt the govt would be ordering 1500 T's and that's where the bottleneck is, but I could be wrong...

Go to My Controls (towards top right of screen, just below the banner), then look for Edit Signature (under Personal Profile). Then select the text in your signature, then select the colour you want

I don't know about your experiences other than what's been told, but mine is bloody good. The only thing I can see that creates waiting times is colour and options. Now, my Ford dealer up north here, had two in stock, but being the fussy bas*ard I am, wanted everything nitty gritty the way I want it. It was me that decided to wait until November, because I don't return to Australia until then anyhow.

Most Ford dealers I've been to in QLD here, have them in stock, even if it means selling the demonstrater. And from what I saw in Brisbane, there were plenty of dealers, who couldn't sell some of them, because of their colour/transmision. Auto's outsell the manuals, but those dealers ordered in the manuals. And most of the models in stock were blood orange or phantom. Two colours that are nice, I admit, but only for a Day, I couldn't have a car in that colour for more than a day without being sick of it. Mercury silver on the other hand or Blueprint, well, SOLD.

What am I saying?

I think it's the dealers who weren't ready for the sales. They should have ordered more in stock, in a variety of colours, knowing full well that they sell so well. All except for My dealer.... heheh

hmmm, my post didn't seem to work. I was trying to say mine was 6 weeks delivery with some options. It was ready for pickup exactly when they said it would be.
