I have an ASE intercooler as well, purchased a while ago. Works fine.

I keep forgetting the difference between tube and fin, and bar and plate cores. Someone please explain the difference.

jas yours is a tube and fin, the one I have here for a customer (ASE) is a bar and plate..... I have a feeling that the ones that need more grinding are the bar and plate................

I moved mine to the right aswell, as far as it could go before the air con lines stoped it. I had to grind about 10mm, if that. I had a few back to back runs and power stayed within a few kw from each other. Very well built cooler and looks great.

cheers for all the replies guys! I guess I have some decisions to make!! In no real rush as of yet, still organising my set up with Simon, so I guess I have more time to put some coin away!! Even if it means driving the T in stock form, and watching the boost gauge climb to an impressive 4.5psi

cough, I have one, cough.

That's not my fault...

and the COUGH cheap COUGH wog cooler, lost 1kw on back to back dyno runs. where as my ase cooler lost upto 23rwkw!! stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

I never said anything about cheap. I said Chinese. But if you personally relate the two words together, well, there ya go...

Check your hoses during those power runs? Or better yet, keep an eye on your tuner's fingers? Make sure he wasn't fudging the figures??
