Mine's into Nizpro on the 21st and they say the N/A harder to tune than the Turbo (I think by that tuners mean a lot harder to get a worth while gain)

This seems strange as vonny always does great with these tunes did they say what might be wrong with the car.

Yeah, I have heard vonny always does a good job. He was stumped. Took the exhaust off to check it wasn't the Cat or an exhaust restriction and it was still down on power.

I have a gut feeling it might be the knock sensor knocking the timing back too much. Is an easy way to test this to unhook it while on the dyno?

Sure. Look, as I said at the start, I don't want this to be a bagging session for the tuner as this tuner has done countless tunes on the XR6t with great results.

Wouldn't they have been logging the timing while tuning it?

They should of seen it if it was happening.

I can only speak from my own experiences and timing has always been logged during dyno runs on my ute.

with the excal II we can log anything the car does and obviously its while its running or there wouldnt be a point to it There is definatley something wrong with your car.
