Lease/business ?

I was heading off tomorrow to purcahse my T, but just received a phone call from someone about a business that's for sale.

Question is, how long would I have to own the business for, before I could lease a vehicle? The business has been operating for 15 years and making good money.

If I can lease a car through the business, I will get a Foon instead of a 03 xr6t.

Thanks.

It will really depend on how strong your finances are and how long you have had a job for previous to the new business.

If you have a good credit rating, you should have no problem.

Go the FOON

If the business you are looking at buying has a solid profit/cash position you should no worries getting a lease in the businesses name.

Otherwise, you could try for a 'novated lease' between yourself and the new business, provided the business is/will be conducted though a company or trust. A novated lease always reverts to yourself if a payment are not made, so if your person position is solid again you should have no worries.

edit: didnt notice your post Zap_F6, didnt scroll down far enough. I agree with you as well.

It may also depend on if you need to finance the purchase of the business and how this affects your borrowing capacity as to whether there will be enough to service both the lease and business purchase loan.
