Hi,

Looking at getting a Tornado - what are the technical differences between the BA MkI, MkII and BF? I know that the there are dual independant camshafts in the XR6T between MkII and BF and the MkII got kevlar bands on the auto as well.

Anyone else know more differences in the F6?

Do you want to know the differences between BA and BF or the difference between XR6T and F6? Your question isn't too clear.

Apologies - between BA and BF F6's.

Cams, 2 knock sensors, wiring looms plus a lot of other bits that have been slightly changed, but nothing radical.

The 'Phoon and Tornado engine in the BA apparently had the independently variable cams that arrived in the XR6T with the BF, call it flow down effect... (tha's nothing new, there used to be a Falcon SS in EB form with a split exhaust and VCT... that you could only purchase for production racing not to mention a six cylinder SS in VN... the Falcon SS became the first XR6 soon after... the SS 6 cylinder went nowhere)

There's also a new PCM (Powertrain Control Module) for the BF too although the 'Phoon doesn't get the DSC that the XR6T has as it wasn't worth the effort for the volumes.
