Modification Kits For The Xr6t

Hello every1, Ive recently bought a BF xr6t with the ZF6speed auto, have done close to 3000kms now and I can confidently say the engine has been run-in well by my run-in procedure. The auto has freed up a little more since new and the whole car feels very smooth and better than when I bought it...

anyway back to my point,

I was looking at the various upgrade kits available and through the feed back on this site HPF and Nizpro both get a good mention. the power I was looking to acheive with mods was about 280-290rwkw which is plenty for me as I dont want to do the internals just yet, The kit I was looking at was the Venom 1.5 from HPF as it looks like a good kit by doing the injectors, valve springs at the same time as the edit. What I would like to know is of anybody that has this kit and the power figures they received when it was installed, also does Nizpro or Aps offer a kit in the same category as the HPF one. which would be the best kit to get power wise but also engine and turbo reliability are important because I plan on keeping the car for a while. On a final note has anyone got on top of the ZF6peed PCM yet and should I wait till more testing is done?

Im in coburg so any of these tuners is a viable option.

Regards

Hi Mark,

If you have a look at the Nizpro Stage 1 kit you'll see they offer a warranty on the engine and turbo, no other tuner offers this.

Although it doesn't quite offer the power level your trying to achieve.

I sort of have this kit  but without the hi-flow Cat and CAI.

I achieved 257kw's atw's and a 12.55 et.

I think the cat is worth doing as it is holding me back from getting any more power.

I agree Luke. I ran into the same problem at 260rwkw's.

Call Simon at Nizpro and he will give you an objective appraisal of what's available and its costs and will back it all up with a very comprehensive warranty. Dont go into random componenet replacement based upon the enromous range of advice available from the forum members, try and take a systematic approach which Simon wil take you through.

To keep the options debate balanced APS Phase II is another good option quite capable of providing the performance you seek, well proven, capable and safe. I have run both at similar levels, each has particular characteristics, options, limitations and risks.

Your decision.

Nizpro also do a 1.5 kit as well. That's the injectors, springs and edit + tune. This should get you around the 270rwkw mark. I had the hiflow cat done as well and am running 285rwkw

Which ever way you go, you won't regret it.

Hi I Have the Nizpro stage 1.5 kit as well. I have had an APS stage 2 as well, the Nizpro setup eats it.

275 RWKW with no exhaust mods!
