I assume it was a Mk5 GTI. The Mk4 are soft. I also wanted this car after having a Mk4 looking for the upgrade. I decided on the T after the GTI delivery wait was 6 months plus. I think they have the same bonk as the AudiS3.

They are expensive for the size, but the build quality towers over the XR.

Having said that, I'm vary happy with the T

Naturally, all events mentioned here took place on off-road private race tracks with safety staff on hand. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Love the disclaimer... :smilielol:

I'd say that unless there are Ford hating eye-witnesses to this event who also know your name on this forum all you'd have to say to coppers \ courts is that this is all talk... (I for one am taking your word and your word only that this actually happened)

Of course I'm not a lawyer so....

I could turn around and say that I have done 230km/h on public roads (not in NT) with no safety gear and not waring my seatbelt and unless you where there to witness the event no legal action could be taken upon my statements here... (Technically speaking you wouldn't really be able to prove it was me and not a co-worker who saw my unlocked PC sitting on fordxr6turbo.com)

Of course none of the events mentioned above are true or have any relation to reality mine or others...

Speaking of big 4WD's giving you hell, try lining a Porsch Cayanne Turbo up (on a private road of course) things dont go as easy as you'd expected!

368kw(500Bhp), 700Nm 0-100 in 5.3sec. My car isn't slow but couldn't catch this little 4WD till 100km+. I think she was on her way to drop the kids off at school too!!! :smilielol:

No, try racing this Nizpro Territory.

It's done a 11.7 secs 1/4 at Calder on its stock street tyres and street trim.

Simon's wife drives it as her daily vehicle, and with a couple of kiddies car seats in the back.

Yep... sticks in throat but sometimes you gotta be a dobber...

I get a bit sick of hired help at dealerships and service shops having cheap thrills in cars they don't own.

I picked mine up one day with 30km extra on the clock, 1/8th of a fuel tank lower and the average fuel consumtion reduced to 33l/100km.  And that was just to get the windows tinted!  Not surprisingly they claimed it couldn't have been them.  Some of these guys got dog turds where the brain is meant to go.

By the way, those little Golf GTi's are a nice piece of kit - great little city car.  Take one for a test drive.

Tell me about it - My first T was a Mk1 with premium Brakes...

I left it at the dealer to get 2 new rotors (didn't catch them in time & hit metal) & pads - I was told to bring it back tomorrow when they had the Rotors in stock...

That also included the 28km's they put on it - with NO front brakes.....

NUMB NUTS......
