In someones neighbourhood where they can kill themselves or others??Any kid running at a test & tune/ drag meet should be encouraged, I do no matter what they're driving. The initative by the Police is a great idea, it also helps them improve PR as well as encourage safe driving.Russ Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/21343-drag-a-cop-legally/page/2/#findComment-316043 Share on other sites

The number plate was COP DIS pretty sure it was a NSW car that regularly competed in off street drags to try to promote them. So what if hes running 18 second 1/4 miles. Big deal about having to wait a whole 4 seconds longer at the staging lights. I say good on em for getting off the streets to race. Some people can afford big flash and fast cars (XR6T's) while others have to earn their money the hard way and dont have mummies and daddies who can just buy them a car because they turned 18.Encouragement is the key.If only they would lower the price to drag race, more P platers would be at the track.O and its about time the cops did something like this. Hopefully its not some 2 month fad. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/21343-drag-a-cop-legally/page/2/#findComment-316103 Share on other sites

wippdaddy Member 41 Member For: 19y 7m 25d Posted 17/11/05 05:27 AM Share Posted 17/11/05 05:27 AM There is a cop car in Darwin (a commodore) that is a regular at Hidden valley drag meets. Good initiative IMO and wouldn't it feel great to burn the cop car off. My bro is cop, it is true that they are just normal people, many who are into fast cars but dislike racing on the street as they are the ones who have scrape up the mess after a prang.
