Took my car to get the edit done on the weekend. The car was put on the dyno and made 203rwkw. But should have been more than that becasue its got a fuill exhaust. plus my Boost was only sitting on 3psi.

Now john from intune was confusedas well as me. Cut a long story short, john tried the over ride program and boosted to 13psi but the car only wentt o 5psi and stayed there.

What is the problem, john thinks there is could be 1 of 2 problems, the first, the pluming is leaking and causing it to not boost all the way or the cat has it self and causing pressue to work in the oppisite thus making it bleed of boost to fast.

To make sure the turbo was ok, he pulled off the actuator pipe so it would boost up. This worked and went right to 14spi befre john backed off.

We put everythinhg back on and checked all the plumbing but still no joy, I got home and replaced the turbosmart pipe kit with the factory one and one thing is the boost gaugue in 3rd is reading about. .37bar which works out to be about 5psi

Is it my car or maybe a faulty unit.

Peoples thoughts would be great

did u check the Cat from the exhaust you removed ?

5-6 PSI is on the money with a stock car.

203rwkw std is excellent, std boost is normally between 4 & 6 psi could either be cat or boost controller.

mattri if it made 14psi with the hose off it should make more than 5 with the edit as to make 14 the cat has to be free, the plumbing seal enough etc!!!

saying this though I had 1 car there not doing what it was told either!!!

I didnt take the cat off cause when the actuator pipe was off it just wanted to go and go hard it did so that's why I didnt bother. We check all the pluming it was ok, as I said may have been the BOV pipe or plumbing thjere now it site just on 4.7 to 5psi

not std dude I got dump pipe back exhaust

plus I didnt get the solioid noise either when the 10psi edit was put on

I'm told by tuner john is good so he should have been able to sort it out!!!!

It didnt even click or anything. The tune seemed to work and I got to 205 but the boost didnt go up at all.

John was dump founded like me we tried everything, but I think if we find it, we will look silly as it will be so obvious to someone else

don't sound right as even with the capa generic tunes you have more timing and etc now taking the boost out of it (keeping it the same as std) you should get much more than 2rwkw with a generic tune let alone with a custom tune!!!

unfortunatly always the case with these things!!!!
