Some of you will remember seeing the SMB 4 inch dump pipe and cat I had with me at the last dyno day. My industrious friend and my Entrepreneurial self decided that these were too expensive and have started manafacturing our own for the turbo brigade - just the dump pipe and and extra flange are included so you can have fabricated any cat you like.We are going to be selling these for $550 a far cry cheaper than the alternative and in my opinion, better finished. For every pipe sold, there will be a $20 donation made to the forum. What we need is a test car to have one fitted to ensure it all lines up okay. I would do it but I would prefer not to pull all mine off my phoon again. I am sick of playing with it - it is drive time now. The enticement is whoever wants one and wants to do this for us, you can have the first pipe for $400. Pretty good deal IMO.Anyone else who wants a pipe after we know they are right to go, PM me and I will take orders! Remember, it is good for the forum too! With the new dump pipe and cat I will need custom tune, correct? This would mean I would have to go injectors and fuel delivery at the same time.So for me it would = more than just the pipe....Soon as I get re-established I will be looking to tip a few $$ into the phoon. How is yours now ?? sorted??What do you have atw's? I would defintely suggest injectors at the same time as it will improve your results from the get-go. May as well do it properly the first time.Mine is well on its way to near perfect. Got some more tunes fom Simon on Friday and it is sweet. We tried to dyno it before these tunes with a conservative tune (very rich and no timing in it) and the best it could "register" was 314rwkw - it was spinning on the rollers and there was rubber all over by boot and roof - at that was with me sitting in the boot! So we don't know what it has and this new tune is only going to make it harder to dyno. How hard the power comes on is absolutely amazing. I took a mate for a spin (he has a new GT-P), loaded it up in third and floored it from around 70km/hr and the words were something like "holy fu&%ing crap", I love third gear. You can hear the tyres j-u-s-t trying to break traction. JU, I would suggest that you get your clutch done first as this will only make matters worse as a further tune you will need. I have mine with a four inch SMB cat, a custom collector that splits into dual 2.5" and then mates to the standard mufflers. I am going to replace the back half now with a bolt on dual 2.5" stainless system - Genie I think, it is made for the GT's, very nice.
