Problems With Flasher

Hey all,

Have a slight problem with my flasher. When I load the tunes my car will not go into cruise control in fifth gear. When I have it stock there is no problem. I have taken it back to ford and they said there is nothing wrong with it. Wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and if I could get my tuner replaced if that was the case.

its not the box its the tune ive seen similar problems with cruise and also worse but it is the tunes in all the cases ive seen!!!

Wipdaddy, if this is the case then there is a simple fix. To rectify this you would need to read the processor code off the side of your engine management computer located in the engine bay. Its a four digit code on the little white sticker (the one with the bar code) and in the case of a 'T' would have something like A3YA, A3GC or similar on it in little letters. It would seem that you have a base software mismatch occurring which is affecting the cruise control, which can by quite easily fixed with a reflash of the Flasher unit itself.

So, give us a complete description of your car I.e. 03 XR6 T manual

and then the processor code, and I will personally look into it for you

ok I have been back to the dealer who I bought the flash tuner of and he said I need to send it back to CAPA to get reflashed. Cool with me, but will it cost me anything and can I get the latest software loaded? Is the dealer just being lazy, cause I thought he should have send it back for me.
