GFB Stealth FX :)

Ive got one on mine, sits in the factory position as long as you get the XR6 adapter with it. Unplug the std one, fit in the new one, no cutting, weilding, modifing etc required.

And it sounds SEXYYYYY !!!!

Just curious, what was fords reason for telling you it voids warranty, when there is one on there stock and it is basically a replacement since there was no further mods invloved to fit it.

Their just a bunch of goats.......probably cos atmo BOV's are illegal (due to noise) and therefore cannot endorse them.

I just like that flutter sound, is there anyway just to enhance that?? I dont want to make it sound like its sneezing.

if u have a GFB stealth FX u can play around with the screw tension for different vent sounds.. goes from tight and fast to gradual and fluttery.

The loud flutter that you hear on alot of jap cars, T's etc. is from not having a BOV at all. It is called compressor surge where the air hits the closed throttle butterfly, and bounces back the wrong way through the compressor because there is no bov to release it. A few people say this is bad, and it probably isn't the best for the long life of your turbo, but from what I've read these are pretty strong turbo's. It would probably be worse on a manual than an auto though. I ran mine like this for around 2-3 months with no probs. I also have about 6 mates with high performance turbo cars that do not run them either with no probs.

To do it with a factory T set up, just pull the small sense line off the top of the factory bov, kink it over and wrap a cable tie around it to stop any boost leaking out.

To make it as loud as possible you need to have the shortest possible plumbing on the inlet of the turbo. The factory plumbing is pretty long so it muffles it a fair bit. The 2nd CAI mod + hiflow filter helps a bit.
