All it does is stops the message from popping up, but maybe you’d want to find the cause of it first before you let everything bypass one of the very few inbuilt security mechanisms in Outlook. The scan picked up some cookies and vulnerabilities associated with Microsoft. I downloaded the latest office security patches but no change. harvyk Member 1,070 Member For: 20y 2m 9d Location: The North Cooma End of Canberra... Posted 15/09/05 03:23 AM Share Posted 15/09/05 03:23 AM I'd start checking the options of any programs you have installed...From my experience most spyware and viruses use their own SMTP engine (The thing that actually sends email) and \ or hack into the address book files without running through outlook (otherwise you get error messages such as this, not a good look for a virus \ spyware than doesn't want to make itself noticed) but a lot of normal programs link into office in ways you can't even imagine... (because it's easier to code than taking a backdoor in...)First I'd run things like windows update, download and install any patches for installed software (M$ and Non M$) I'd look through any installed software you have run recently and check the options and ensure that there has been no "send error messages back" options selected... (An option such as this may have even been selected on install and this was the first time it's been tripped)Also just to rule out virus \ spyware have a look on the web for a running processes program which provides "trust" rating of each of your running processes... If you have an unsafe process running this will nut it out for you quick smart...Just my 2c Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/20043-error-in-outlook/page/2/#findComment-294438 Share on other sites

Both cab ne downloade free. Adaware - lavasoft.nu, spybot - google will find it you want at least V1.4. Comes with "teatimer" which alerts you to any registry changes and you can either allow or deny change and also remember choice or not for future.
