OK, it mightn't be EXACTLY the same box but it's the same model. I'm not sure how ZF rate them in different applications but in various models around the world they are taking BIG torque and HEAVY cars .. yes, even heavier than BArdarse. PS They are a sealed for life unit so what you get is what you get - there won't be any chance of aftermarket mods as far as I know. The only thing that is servicable is the electronic control module.

There are heavier duty versions available, with the highest being 775nm, as used in BMW V12's etc. I have not heard of anyone being able to strengthen them. Seeing how European tuning companies companies like Brabus handle auto upgrades might be a good solution as I'm sure many of the high power and high torque monsters they make would use ZF 6 speed autos.

Its not like you'll be sticking more than 600nm through the thing all the time.Also, if you fiddle with the electronics, I'm sure you could firm up the shifts a little and substantially increase the life of the thing....I reckon, that after a bit of an electronic fiddle, you'll see the ZF handle 700. All day, everyday.We'll just have to wait and see......
