I have just bought my first ever Ford after having Holdens, Jappers & Chevs.

Am stoked with my 05 Turbo and cant wait to get into the Typhoon when the bank lets me!

Whats up with the no red line on the tacho?

Whats the recommended revs before starting to endanger the engine?

I havent been taking it past 5000 rpm as peak power is at 5250.

I realise the Turbo has great torque so should I be reving it this hard?

Any comments?

The computer will not let it rev pass 6 grand but in standard trip 5500 is all you need to go to.

And well come to the good side.

Regarding the tacho - We are still trying to figure that one out...

Welcome mate, if you get the Edit, you can make good power up untill 6500rpm with the right valve springs, injectors and intercooler - All on stock internals.

So once she is run in, don't worry to much about a bit of a rev now and then, these engines are pretty tough nuggets!

Yes I too must confess that I too am a converted Expensive Daewoo lover. All I have owned are holdens (4 that is) and now I guess I may have seen the light!!!!. Rev Limiters are there for a reason if it was not supposed to rev that high it would be set lower. So bounch away!!!!! (cause I love the sound, well that was with the GEN111 that is, still waiting to here what T sounds like).
