A mate of mine ran his M3 at Calder and had a G-Tech to compare times and the G-Tech read .2sec slower than the official Calder Park time.

I think for the $100.00 that is a very close time don't you think? and if he staged deeper it might have been even closer.

I took my getech out on our last HPR day to check out the accuracy. It was very hit and miss.

It read mostly a 10th slow on the ET but waaaaay high on the mph... it was saying that I was getting 110 mph from an alomst stock xr8

I wish.

As for the magazines carrying on about the 1/4 mile .. the way a track is set up is THE definitive measure, not their correveit or some other GPS based thing. Their system is less accurate by virtue of not allowing rollout not the other way arround. They cannot claim to be more accurate when they have deviated from the accepted norm.

that is a big difference, don't know what went wrong there, set up level, I have not seen that bigger difference in ten years with the gtech,( but if it is loose, or unlevel to start with, the mph can blow out

All things considered, it's damn close considering it's under $100 and it sticks to your windscreen!!!!!

Geez boyz, pay $4500 for a Vbox, then whinge about it's accuracy, not $89 from ebay..

If you use it at the same place under roughly the same conditions each time. It is an excellent tool for before and after times after mods have been added.

If you really want "numbers" then go to the drags.
