I guess you then don't realise you can change your remote to unlock all doors or just the drivers door...

Not 'user programable' though is it - please correct me, that would be a great trick.

Yes it is user programmable..

RTFM - standard response in the IT industry.

Goes something like Lock the car with remote. Hold down both the unlock and lock buttons together for about 5 seconds or so, until the car cycles the locks and beeps at you I think.

Now if you press the unlock button once, the drivers door will unlock - ONLY. Press unlock again and the whole car will unlock...

Now, don't flame me if its not 100% correct, trying to do it from memory...

I'm with you Grass. What did these people do while waiting for their cars. I practically had memorised the manual before I picked up my car! I always laugh when I see a "look what I discovered" thread, and it's something that's in the manual!

The screen thing?

When driving in the dark shouldn't you have your lights on?? 

therefore as soon as lights go on .... screen goes black!!

as for changing discs, did you also know the same seek button on steering wheel changes channell on the radio?

and on the other side is a groovey gadget called "cruise control",,,

Ok here is another clue

you will need more than Maguires Maguires Maguires

just leave your lights on auto... changes to black as soon as the light fades.... drive through a tunnel and the lights go and the screen goes black... exit tunnel and ligts turn off and screen goes bright... no need to play with buttons... its all automatic. for the mk11 that is
