You can see him swerve out of the way when the bus flashes its lights and starts going sideways.What happened, I have no doubt, is he realised he made a mistake, caused a bus to lose control, and when he saw the aftermath he kept going and got the hell out of there. The higher quality version of the video has sound and you can hear the camera operators talking and raising the alarm. The film was shot from a freeway traffic monitoring camera in Japan from memory. Like some in Melbourne they can be fitted with devices to track traffic speed (to help them adjust traffic flow via traffic lights etc). Its not a cop with a radar as someone thought. The higher quality version is clear enough that they probably could identify the car that caused the accident. Wouldnt want to be him. Hope they threw the book at him.
