was pulled up at the lights when a late model triumph motor bike pulled up beside me,when the lights turned green I took off quickly without completly gunning it and was just in front of him when he open up the throttle so I gave it sh*t and was slowly pulling away from him untill a car pulled out of a servo in front of me and I had to back off, he was toast a would have been thinking wtf.

Depends on the cc's - although a new 600cc will run a low eleven with average joe onboard - anthing bigger will destroy a twelve second car - they are in a completely different league - he may have been running it in. The car on the other hand sounds awesome!

I had a rolling start with a mate of mine on an R1 today on to the freeway and we just sat next to each other with me having the slight advantage.

Then he showed off by staying on my tail on one wheel.

Whats been modded on your car?

To keep up with a properly ridden R1, you need to be in the 0-100 in about 2.6 second area. A new R1 will do 172kmh in 1st gear, so you can imagine how quick they get to 100 and beyond!

Cant remember the 2005 R1's 1/4 mile time, but the wussier 1998 model (which is by no means a wussy bike!) was about 10 seconds flat at 133mph. Keep in mind the new R1 has about 27% more power and is lighter than the 1998 one.

that's pretty quick. I think Geaa is getting close. Not sure if he is that low yet though...defintely close.

My ute is an APS Phase III setup with a few other mods done to it and now running edit. Due to hit the track again very soon to get some new times.

Craig has been for ride in the last couple of weeks and will confirm that it is close in performance to his and I am aiming to run a 10 second pass also. I had the auto beefed up again last week and the chirpies into 2nd are amazing.

It was a rolling start though as there is no way I would reel him in anywhere near sane speeds on the road.

dean are you still running the unichip as well or just the edit

No running straight edit these days, turned the torque reduction stratagies off and raised the rev limiter as well. The auto, even though it has been beefed up before and held together didn't like it though and I broke the planetery gears. All rebuilt stronger again now though so it should be good.

I plan was to keep the unichip and run edit but no APS dealers do edits and running back and forth between tuners wasn't an option.

I will be very interest to see how it compares to the unichip as there hasnt really been any comparison done as yet and you car will be a great example, what power are you getting as aposed to the unichip.
