I would of said she found out the guy was bonking the sister, therefore she killed her to get him.

sounds stupid now, but I was more looking at the fact she found out her sister killed her mother/found out her sister was bonking him and had hidden it from her because she knew she liked him. As for the actuall answer to me sounds like crap,somone at the funeral would have known him,or she could have put an ad in the paper.Only a shrink could get this right .Takes a pshyco to no a pshyco.
