June 15, 200521 yr #11 M series cars are one of my favourites. Both M5's and M3's simply rock. Swap my T for one any day, even if they cost the same!My first drive was in an M3-R. Totally and utterly blew me away. It was one ordered as a race car for Targa Tasmania but the buyer pulled out and somoene else snapped it up. What a car. You can still see it driving around Melbourne (Vic: Armadale/Malvern area) in black with a wing and personalised plate. (Wont mention it here). The old E28 5 series (1982 or so) referred to in the review above is insane. Its a beautiful engine even to look at. Wish engines looked like that today. Each engine was hand assembled by only their best engineers. Each car was then track tested by BMW race test drivers on their test track to ensure it performed as it should. You can pick one up here for about $15k here. If you can find one. Have respect - they may be over 20 years old now, and many only have a 3.45 litre engine, but they will go from 0-100 in 6.1 seconds and revs beyond 6700rpm. Just awesome. Nothing single like a BMW straight 6. Except maybe their new V10!Check out the photo of the engine attached. Tell me that's not sensational - especially for 25 years old! Wish my T's engine looked half as good. Edited June 15, 200521 yr by mickq

June 15, 200521 yr #13 Viki is now with Tiff on a new show called 5th Gear on FOX lifestyle channel on Monday nights 8:30pm.She is a top chick who is not afraid to throw a F430 sideways infront of the Ferrari test drivers and teams.
June 16, 200521 yr #15 I love the M5, but Jeremy Clarkson is the biggest car reviewing TOOL that ever walked the face of this earth. When I see him presenting an old Top Gear episode, I will change as he is a boring fart that cannot drive. What a dumb review of the best car in the world.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Agreed, I hate people that bag the SMG!! Yeah it takes awhile to get used to but once you do, its one of the best damb gearboxes in the world. Why bag out a cars technology just because you aren't used to it. Give it a month of owning the car and you would find all the gadgets to be of great use. I like the fact that I get to chose the speed of my gear changes when I go for a drive. It comes in very handy.Um Zap the guy is a amazing driver from what I have seen.
