We all spend thousands of $$$ to get the extra rwkw, most of the mods that we do are legal. So why then do Ford sell as an example my xrt series1 to me at a stock 240kw, when they cuould do what I have done for a fraction of the cost and advertise those 380kw blow any other class of car of the sales maps.

This could all be done under factory warranty and in house sales would go through the roof imagine seeing xr6t 380kw compared to SS 260kw which would you buy.

Im not sure but I dont think any car dealer gives you the option to mod up when you buy a new car :spoton: seems silly to me, and dont bag me guys it's only a new thread better than whats on tv.

Try the media and public outrage.

I actually agree with you about public ourage, but I dont think that is why they hold back I reckon they do it in jumps of 20 to 30kw at a time so that they make

and sell more models at a slower kw rise and eventually get to the figure that I stated after selling thousands of cars, and public outcry lessons with each small kw rise :spoton:

The pressure and liabilty that would fall on Ford when some kid kills himself and the cost of insurance?

But on that note its funny that Aami wont cover me if I want to by a GT at 290kw, but I can do as many mods as I like, ie phase 2 or 3, 330kw plus as long as the mods are legal!

wheres the sence in that?

I think fords answer to that is- heres a car that makes 240kw, if you want more theres plenty of after markets products around (nothing to do with us)! :spoton:

The vehicle has to be long term reliable and resonably economical. Not to mention price. A car with that much power also has to have the safety systems to match when it's a production car eg. brakes. There are reasons why production cars that make that much power cost what they do.
