Just got that email myself . . . seems excessive to say the least! :Imwifhim:

You could probably get one made out of polished alumimum for $150. Seems expensive like alot of herrod things.

it would make a bit of improvement with a 100 mm maf pipe compared with the original as the air flow would be much better ....fist thing I did when I had a ls1 is to change the pipe ...but at them dollars hmmmmm not

waaaaay to expensive! :msm:

when I had an LS1, I got a second intake custom made in mild steel then sprayed matt black (3.5" feathered mouth feeding into the airbox which they modded and put together), K&N flat panel all for $295!

So shesh, a plain cold air intake tube is rude at that money :msm:

Surely the Pod filters end up sucking in plenty of underbonnet warm air? The inlet needs to be outside of the engine bay to get cold air?

that's where you install a heat shield

OMG!! That's bloody expensive for a piece of pipe. I saw that Battens have one as well, but not sure about price. Would have to be cheaper than Herrods though. Not sure how they can justify that price?
