On a serious note - how about a forum dedicated to "Suggestion Box"?

There are some really good ideas here, that if compiled together in a separate forum, could lead to some good discussuions which may in turn lead to Ford listening and acting ....

EG - for series two I would really like to see MP3 compatability included with the sound systems across the range. For cars with single CD you still have hours of music without fiddling while you are driving which is a real safety issue - we can't talk on mobile phones but we can take our eyes and concentration away from the road for several secs in order to change a CD.

I also feel that the SSS shifter should pull to the right as the Jags do. I'm just lucky ive got long arms.

The amount of petrol I go through, location of the TC and fog lights. cup holders-when you place a bottle of drink and it gets in the way when changing gears.

Also the damn weight.

But I am still very happy with the car. Still would have bought it anyway.

Most of the things above. I happen to have a ute. (Only for the last 4 days), but so far....

On utes, the fuel filler door is not locked or have an internal release. The filler cap is not locked and Ford Parts say there is'nt one available.

It's hard to get to the area behind the seats. The lever for the seat back is hard to reach and the seats should also slide forward and have a memory position when you push them back.

And they would never sell the 6 stacker again.......

Who amongst us would pay the $900 for the premium sound only for the sub woofer and the colour screen if the standard sound had MP3 compatability making the 6 stacker for the most part redundant. Perhaps it could be an additional feature on the premium package.......

2. only one remote key pad

3. the car jack just lies loose in the cabin

4. the 17" alloys could have had lock nuts

5. traction control might be handy

6. option for third brake light might have been handy

7. premium sound is a rip off (in a ute)

8. could have upgraded the reversing lights

2 - Why? Sedan owners get 2. Check with your dealer

5 - I think there is a technical reason for this

6 - Is there NO centre stop light? I thought there was an ADR covering this

7 - It's not premium sound, it's prestige which means you get a 6 stacker and that's about all.

richdave ... only one remote for utes .... Ford made me pay $80 extra for the second one

after I spent $900 with them for an alarm ... which only used the Ford "keypad" (yes they handed the car over armed and only one remote to turn it off .... the spare key set the alarm off !!! )
