You didn't run over something!

That's the split they get - TAKE EM BACK AND DON'T PAY PRO-RATA !!

pm me if you would like to know more as I have just had 2 replaced and I think it's caused by the higher torque as it was the 2 tyres I had on drivers side rear that cracked -after rotation that is!

They look just like mine, as I drive down the freeway I get a nice thunk thunk thunk as each split makes contact with the pavement....

If it helps refer them to John McGrath Ford in Phillip, ACT who changed mine some months ago without me even raising the issue during the service. That said I sold them off and run Pilot Precedas which Cro and I will recommend anyone with 17s or 18s giving a try - darn good bang for the buck and a different level of quality than the dunnies.

I would rather have Pilots, but if I can get 4 free tyres for nothing, makes my house deposit a little healthier (esp if I have to sell the beast one day :( )

Fully understand. Colin in the Ford Service at McGraths would be a good one for them to contact in the event that you start getting the run around which hopefully will not eb an issue.

Realise that, I am suggesting that if your dealer has any issues with their replacement you might refer them to McGrath (biggest Ford dealer in oz) who might re-appraise them of their responsibilities in this regard.

Unfortunately not available in 17

They are available Ivan and I am running them on my T currently - 235/4/17, $270 a corner fitted.

I meant I'd be recommending different tyres for 18" wheels, because there is a whole new world out there when you have 18" rims.

However, the tyres I would recommend for an 18" rim are not available in a 17" rim.

I know the Preceda's are available in a 17" cause I got them on my car too.
