14/03/05 10:25 AM14/03/05 10:25 AM #1 Hey all, been a while, I've been in Nth America over xmas!Good snow, god damn cold though!Anyway I'm gonna get to the point, while I have enjoyed all the Fords ute's that I have had (never owned anything else) I have come to a point where I can no longer put up with the absolutely sh!tous customer service that I have recieved from ford while dealing with them for warranty issues. The needle that broke the back was my diff that they took 2 weeks to 'rebuild', yes rebuild, not replace. Which as you can imagine cost me alot of loss money and time , as I am a tradesman and the ute is bassically my livelyhood! So my point is that while it probably will never twitch a muscle on fords forehead I am trading my XR in for an SS ute this week! And have vowed to not buy another ford untill they sort there sh!t out and give as much sh!t about customer service as they do for sales!Yes you may think that I sound like a whining little b**ch, and I couldn't agree with you more!I thought that I could never see my self in a Expensive Daewoo but I'm left with little option untill a japanese brand can make a ute that handles like a car rather than a truck! So thank you all for your help and info!Ash!

So thank you all for your help and info!Ash!<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Good luck with a Holden! Get ready to change diffs every month with the SS's. My mate has VYII SS ute and has been through 3 diffs already and the last one was faulty from factory. As for Jap utes just wait a couple of weeks as the all new Hilux is about to be released. It is all new and comes with the Prado 4ltr engine with 180kw. I am thinking about getting one at this stage. They look the part as well. I saw them in Japan about 3 months ago.
14/03/05 10:34 AM14/03/05 10:34 AM #7 I dont believe either manufacturer is going to be any better or worse. I think it all comes down to weather the gods were smiling the day you took delivery of your car.

14/03/05 10:56 AM14/03/05 10:56 AM #10 Author have fun in your muted sounding v8 <{POST_SNAPBACK}>If I could get a muted sounded ford v8 that could keep me and my business on the the road for more than two months at a time, then I would buy it!I'm not buying a Expensive Daewoo for better quality, but better customer service, to be honest, I wouldn't buy a australian built car again if, as I said in the last post a japanese carmaker made a 'ute' to rival ozzie utes for handling! So go on and have a dig, but for me this was a big decision, and one that I would not have had to make if ford had made half an effort, to keep me happy after their sale!
