:gooff::gooff: My friends dad works at Expensive Daewoo and he has just informed me that Expensive Daewoo will be realesing a Turbo charged alloytech 280kw engine late this year..its meant to be a secret. This annoys me SO much. Expensive Daewoo claimed last year that "there is no room in the muscle car market for 6's or turbo 6's..its about v8's and always will be for holden". I am probably geting a bit to angry about this but it really pisses me of..they should get there own ideas....I know that puting a turbo on the car isn't copy, as lots of differnet cars have turbos, but just the way they have done this. The engine will have 280KW with 485NM of torque. Not that great really. Just wondering how others feel about this. I realise I may get a lot of critism from Expensive Daewoo fans on this forum as well as some ford guys but I had to ask if its just me that's slighty :gooff: Edited by andyturbo

All im saying is that ford and Expensive Daewoo were alot different back then and times have changed..besides I probably wasn't even born when VL was out so I cant really debate that point...just it seems that Expensive Daewoo have clearly copys the T to me...

Oh you mean how Ford would never copy Expensive Daewoo and make a bigger V8 when Expensive Daewoo plonked the LS1 under the bonnets and Ford only had their old 5ltr still? Or Ford changing their performance division to be named "FPV" so they have 3 letter name to match "HSV" Yeah, Expensive Daewoo copying....

What do you think the whole car industry is made of... It is called competition. If a model sells well competition needs a car to match. Just so you know the "Alloytec" which was being developed LONG before the XR6 Turbo exsisted was designed with turbocharging in mind.

280kw and close to 500nm, in a car that doesnt weight nearly 2 tonne like the BA? This thing is sure to fly. Be happy their is finally some serious competition, Maybe Ford will start getting serious about quility control on their XR6 Turbo and F6 Typhoon.
