Here's the reply I got.

PWR would be happy to offer a discount for a batch order of the PWI5051.

Discounts would apply as following

5units 10%

10units 15%

15 or more 20%

RRP is 840+ as of March 1

I am interested but how do we find out whetehr it fits into existing mounts and pipework etc?

Also is there some way we can elliviate our fears of the results gained from there first intercooler?

Just got a price from AVO in melb for their new intercooler for the T.

Including all pipework $1760.

It does not fit into existing factory mounts however.

It may be worthwhile talking to Liontamer as he has the new PWR intercooler fitted to his car.

From memory, there's an earlier thread on this in which he gives some feedback on the unit which included:

- Good airflow from the new unit

- Fits into existing factory mounts

- The only modification required is a slight reduction in the length of one of the factory hoses.

He also posted a couple of pictures.

Thanks for that info SIXRT. Sofar it's JB and I that are keen for one of these intercoolers. We can also order them with or without the PWR logo. (I'll option for without). I'll also do a search for the thread in which SIXRT was referring in an effort to give those interested as much information as possible as it's a lot of money to fork out, especially without any background info. Also, JB is looking at purchasing straight away, I'll be ready to buy next Monday/Tuesday(Hopefully JB can hold off until then.) I worked it out if we get 10 buyers, the coolers will cost $785.40 INCLUDING GST as opposed to the RRP PLUS GST ($924). So we save $140. Better than a kick in the pants. Freight will be extra I guess but you'd pay that anyway. So, is anyone else interested?

Ok Rob I am in and can wait to see who else wants in as there is not much on offer for T's with intercoolers.

How does the PWR Unit compare to the Typhoon IC. I'm interested in a IC Also but was leaning towards the Tyhpoon one cause of the bad reports I've heard about the PWR ones. I would prefer one that bolts up to the factory mounting points and uses the original piping.

For the price of the typhoon cooler I would go and buy an APS one or equivelent.

Not forgetting that you cannot get a Typhoon cooler if you do not have a typhhon serial number etc.

And plus, the Typhoon Coolers are out of stock anyway.

The PWR one is bigger.

The PWR one fits better. Speaking to someone who has fitted a Typhoon cooler, the inlet tube gets a bit squashed, wheres the PWR one caters for this and fits nicely. Only have to shorten the Upper cooler pipe, not drama Jana.
