Guest TRACK Guests Posted 22/12/04 02:52 PM Share Posted 22/12/04 02:52 PM Suffered a some what embarracing defeat last night! I pulled up at the lights beside this 1970 something model VW Kombi van. Seriously you could not have put your hand on the car anywhere without touching at least 3 differnt types of undercoat. It had the scratched white steel rims, the spare tyre mounted on the front round tube bull bar, and 2 little exhaust pipes sticking out the back. I hardly gave it a second look. The lights went green, he took off a bit quick, I went with him, not really tring to prove anything, then he went again, so I went again, but only to watch this heap disappear off into the distance WTF!! It wasn't even sort of close!I'm sure the guys in the Kombi were laughing their off! I'm sure they've done it before too! I don't think there was much in the way of Kombi bits in the back, I assume I was beaten (conviningly) by Porsche.Bottom line is, heap of Kombi wasted FORD XR6T. They yelled at me to give them a run. I didn't think they were serious, I didn't take off hard, but the Mazda did! I went after him, and watched this little yellow turd bounce away in the distance!! With the blokes hanging out laughing at me!I should have realised what I was getting in to when I pulled up and heard 'blap-blap-blap-blap...' Rotory strikes again! Posted 22/12/04 11:47 PM Share Posted 22/12/04 11:47 PM There's quite a few very quick WB utes cruising around Darwin, complete with rust, bullbars and undercoat. When you get done, smile and give 'em a wave, they've spent a fair bit of time getting the cr@p box to go that fast. People who drive cars like that (sleepers) are the complete opposite to the rice boys and they get from me!
