KBB Member 55 Member For: 20y 7m 8d Posted 30/11/04 09:54 AM Share Posted 30/11/04 09:54 AM Small burnout??!?!?!My mate with Nitto 275/45/17s ran a 1.62 60 foot time with a manual supra, the key AT LEAST 20 second burnout at 100 km/h (ie 2nd or 3rd gear), they stick almost as well as a slick with that much heat. 15 psi. A couple of BBC Chevelles ran as low as 1.4 60's on nittos and that is all they could muster on their slicks. It looks like it should be ok on Friday for me to have another crack at it. I can gaurentee that the tyres won't be too cold this time. I reckon Scotty will see the smoke at his place. The officials might even need to call the fire brigade. If I can get a 1.8 60' I'll be rapt, all I'll need to do then is get my shifts right and it should fall together.Geea. Posted 30/11/04 10:45 PM Share Posted 30/11/04 10:45 PM shift 200rpm early....I'm sure it won't make a difference to your time as it's still going to put the revs above peak torque after the shift. Hitting the limiter has to be about the worst thing you could do (duh).Get someone to take some vids of the burnout.
