Yep and Ford will just say don't drive it so hard, or your not driving the car properly, or you are driving the car outside of it's limits.

It depends on what sort of upgrade you require..

The bigger the horsepower, the dearer the setup...

I wont quote my clutch price ,as I'm in the industry...I'd rather not upset the resellers out there

My clutch was stuffed before I drove away from the dealer the day I picked the car up brand new. Pre car obviously had some fun with it. 3000k's later the second clutch began to slip and I can tell you that my wife drives the car with 2 babies in the back,so driving style has nothing to do with it. I told Ford about it and somehow they can't get the clutch to slip when their mechanics drive it , so no new clutch for me.

mine slipping at 240rwkw and I suppose I drive it like a monkey on heat with an itchy crack!!!

my car is around 15000km old and after a flash tune it started to slip on the dyno which is putting out 260rwkw.

I fitted with Exedy HD cushion button which is good for 350rwkw.

So far so good, little heavier then standard.

For all its worth (proly a little late from when the original question got asked) mine did the same thing; started slipping at 260rwkw and the oem clutch looked like a brand spanka when it was removed and replaced with a xtreme hd ceramic sprung clutch kit.
