WTF?!!

I've just had to fit another set of rears to the T, they were scrubbed down to sweet FA, same as last time, No, it's not from burnouts either. First time I had the tyres done they said the rear alignment was way out, OK I can cope with that but it's fixed now isn't it? Apparently not, the rear alignment was out even more than before this time, had it adjusted again but I don't think I like the idea of new tyres every 12,000k!! Anyone else had similar dramas??

That's not good enough with the type of driving you do. Mostly straight roads I'd assume. If the alignment is out again there is obviously some problem. Have a really good check for any loose mounts including worn rubbers. You might have to replace the rubbers with nolathane as a last resort. This may also be why you are getting that floatiness at high speed. It could be back end movement steering the car.

Every 9000km for me on average. Everything is aligned properly. I drive hard, all the time. Its not often I dont use full acceleration or hard braking. Dont really do burnouts or similar though. (Only done maybe 3 in 2 years, and they were not serious ones).

Im on my 3rd set in 24,000km.
