Street Hoons Beware

Well, can’t say as I’m a big believer in the esteemed JC, having said that I’m certainly not offended by your remarks, if I were offended I would certainly say so. I’m simply responding to your suggestion that anyone who does not opt to share the same viewpoint as your self on the issue of “anti hoon” laws is a moron…and your supposition that I would elect to drive without a license……

That you’re organizing non-profit track days is great, but with the given the fact that the current punitive measures in place (here that is) certainly seemed to have no perceptible impact on unsafe driving behavior amongst the “street racing” community has ultimately resulted in an escalation in legislative measures……which actually appears to be positively impacting driver behavior…….no more exciting 3am burnout displays up and down my street, no more boy racers in their pitifully modified Hywoo expels smacking into parked cars as they loose it round corners in the city block trying to show their mates what legends they are by besting other equally skillful drivers in equally pitifully vehicles……the laws have been in place for a number of weeks now , and so far the number of cars confiscated across the state is small….3 last time I checked…..but the impact it’s having is by comparison quite large……so, I would expect that the upshot of this, if similar measure are introduced over there, would be to leave people with the option they should have been going with all along….saving it for the track. :spoton:
