difference between quarter mile and 400m

I was wondering if any body had an idea what the difference between quarter mile

and 0-400m times would be .eg. if a mag quoted 14.1 sec 400m time would there much difference for a quarter mile time

400 meter = 0.2485485 mile

A quick calculation suggests that if the car travelled 400m in 14.10 seconds, it would have a 1/4 mile time of 14.18.

0.25 mile = 440 yards, so you were kind of close.

If you know the speed in mph, just multiply by 1.609344 to get km/h. So, 100 mph is 160.9344 km/h.

To go the other way, divide by 0.6213712.

60MPH is 96.5Km/h approximately.

1 Inch = 2.54cm

1 Foot = 12 Inches

1 Yard = 3 Foot

1 Mile = 1760 Foot

Therefore 1 Mile = 2.54x12x3x1760 = 1.609344Km

e.g. Type into the search field 100 miles per hour in kilometres per hour and then click on the Google Search button.

There's your answer.

You can do pretty much any calculation or conversion.

Another e.g. 100 light years in fathoms gives you the result 100 light years = 5.17307984 × 10 to the power of 17 fathoms.

Or 100 tonnes in pennyweights gives you 100 tonnes = 64 301 493.1 pennyweights.
