To me rice is the false economy of paying the unnecessary expense thinking it will increase the performance of your car.

A nice set of 18's will set you back more than the cost of the Excel without any real performance gain. It's RICE.

Stripes on XR's are so tryhard. Try something original, not something that is a ripoff of something else you are pretending to be.

excel with rims, neons, doof doof, aircraft bodykit, camelion paint job, two 5" exhaust tips and 675 15" sub woofers in it, would be classed as rice.

I was contemplating Blue GT stripes on my T , and ultimately decided against it as I prefer the stealth look.

That doesn't mean it is try hard as I have hosed more than a few GTs, the element of suprise is better than the look of the stripes IMO

I love the idea of the ultimate sleeper vehicle. ie XT with Turbo and stage II APS. You'd need 18" wheels on a car like that to match it's performance.

IMO - 18's on a stock Falcon or Late model camira is borderline rice.

What a load of sh*t..... Ive seen plenty of XT Falcons with 18's on them and they go just as good as they look... 182 KWs really isnt slow compared to 5 years ago.

As if said before in previous threads, who really cares what other people do, that's their business. I for one wouldnt mind putting a bonnet buldge on my NA, yet everyone would say that's crap / rice... The only reason I didnt buy an XR8 or an XR6 T was because im too young to get insurance, so does that mean I can't enjoy the looks of a bonnet bulge?

People do things for a reason, Its not just because we cant afford the real deal or because we are trying to shortcut the system and have something nice
