September 8, 200422 yr Just like to hear about how these kits perform, who fited them and how much you paid
September 8, 200422 yr Hey there, I'm getting these fitted on Monday. They're not racing brakes, but more than good enough for my daily driving and occasional thrill ride. They cost me $2320 from memory.I'll let you know what I think of them, and post pics after I get them done.Dave
September 8, 200422 yr Author Thanx DaveIts the PK6 kit isnt it?That sounds like a good price, is that including installation?Appreciate your thoughts.Greg
September 8, 200422 yr Yeah, they're the ones. Front Rotors and Calipers are bigger than rears. Here's a pic of what you get with the package.
September 9, 200422 yr Was going to fit them but there isn't a huge advantage in doing it for the price...Better of with the new 4000 series and performance pads
September 9, 200422 yr What I don't understand is that they are a aftermarket version of the facotry Premium setup... and on the factory premiums the rears are exactly the same as a 'regular' braked BA... except the disc.... So why boost the price of the kit and make us buy rears as well?A.

So why boost the price of the kit and make us buy rears as well?A. You get nice colour coded matching calipers for the rear along with matching grooves in the disc rotors....But I know you want more.....they throw in the matching stainless brake lines for the rear too.All in all, it is a package similar to the Ford factory Premium brake package, and is a touch cheaper. Still good value.Aaron, it comes down to what you believe you really need.I've just got the standard brakes with QFM pads on the front at present.... but will likely go the PBR performance package once the power upgrade gets fitted. As a side issue.... PBR are developing 6 pot Corvette calipers they make for the US market to fit local Fords and Holdens. Still in the R&D phase. Now they would make a difference to track times!!!
September 10, 200422 yr Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the kit sucks (actualyl I think it's great) but just wondering if they could have perhaps targetted a lower price by making the rear brakes an option. Still not my problem When the spare $$ is around I'd probably do it - especially if I'd been on the path for more power *grunt grunt*A.
September 10, 200422 yr I went with 4 dba 4000 rotors and forodo formula 2000 pads front and rear.this has made it a different car to drive and stop (for the better).the only down side is that the disks don't look big enough.
