I remember meeting that guy and admiring his replica GT40 at the Sydney motor show years ago (maybe '97 or '98). At that stage it was a very small kit car company. Good to hear it is going well for him.

They are still an awesome looking car today.

DRB in Qld also build GT40 replics as well as Cobra replicas.

All very good.

Famous Qld car collector, David Bowden, has a genuine GT40 "Gulf" LeMans car which he quite often trots out to historic meetings or good car shows.

I have seen and heard it in action at Lakeside being driven by Kevin Bartlett.

Just nothing like it...........

They are powered by a Holman & Moody prepared 7 litre (I think), very cammy and idle like .......WOW...

A very important car in Oz and well worth the trek to any Qld show and shine/Historic day to see if it shows up.

We used to have an occasional visitor to our shop a Youngish lad in a Cobra painited in the Gulf Stream colours (No 9,) was built in San Francisco back in that 60's era, no fibregalss on this puppy. The car had a cracked screen, but the guy said he couldn't get an original unit from the states at the time & I don't ever see it anymore, sure sounded horn with its mongrel 429 Cobra jet
