And the fact it is 9/10ths as fast as the Turbo and only $1000 dearer. However, eventually I am going to feel the need for speed, and and extra 3psi above 3500rpm should cure the flat accel feeling. And extra 40kw at the top end will make for a more satisfying HSV thrashing! I have never been in an XR8 to compare. The torque down low in the makes it a very fun car to drive even at slower speeds where the same G force rush isnt felt in the 8 until you get going at 5000+ rpms.WayneYou say you have never been in an XR8 to campare but then comment on the 'G force rush' as you put it???Go to your local dealership and book a test drive in an XR8, auto SSS or manual.Get on a straight bit of road and STOP. count to 3 then put your foot down! That 'G-Force' kicks in at 3grand EASY! The Turbo and XR8 are both great cars.Neither is markedly better OR worse than the other. In my eyes the 8 is the next best thing to a steak and a BJ. But my mate says the same about his Turbo....Damo Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/12069-xr6t-vs-xr8/page/2/#findComment-149059 Share on other sites

Try as I may to put myself in your shoes I could not justify buying a car for for the note over other aspects which to me are more importantSorry but me could not do it.Mind you it would be a pretty boring place if we were all the same Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/12069-xr6t-vs-xr8/page/2/#findComment-149071 Share on other sites
