July 15, 200422 yr #32 Apparently the guys from the US who have been working on this are coming out in August - not sure if that's the release date, a marketing exercise or additional research though.Grant
July 15, 200422 yr #33 In my car, put on a set on 42lb injectors (stock are about 29lb I think) and the car wouldn't idle, ran like a pig, they nearly had to push it to the dyno to retune it.If this product is anywhere near the same as LS1 edit, you guys are in for a treat when it's released!
July 15, 200422 yr #34 You 'may' find them on Parramatta Rd.I'll let you all know in a week just who.

July 25, 200422 yr #37 I spoke with one of the retailers of BTP’s products and apparently the end of August is when they expect the final development work on the various edits will be done, with the assistance of the Americans.Interestingly it seems that the scanner will be individually/exclusively linked to the vehicle being tuned. Apparently the Ford ECU has some sort of “code” which identifies it as distinct from all other vehicles of the same type, as a result you can only use the scanner on one car at a time. The retailer has advised that it will be possible to capture the stock ECU program and then store it on the scanner, while a “performance” program is loaded on the ECU. It’s then possible to swap them backwards and forwards as required.Apparently the scanner will also have built in safeties that will prevent the user from making extreme changes to the engine performance that would result in almost certain damage…..

July 25, 200422 yr #40 Apparently you can use the scanner on more than one car, you can only retain previous settings for one vehicle. So as I understand it you could access the ECU programming on one car, make changes etc and then access the ECU on the next car but in doing so you would lose any information stored from the previous vehicle….
