Take a chill pill cowboy.

This is a XR6T forum in case you hadnt noticed, so of course we are going to draw comparisons to someone who has and is defending a v8.  For your information I also own a LS1 (my wifes car).

Only posting what I think, and that is that the blown barra 6 is a better motor than the gen IV.

Yes, comparisons will be made, but it is the *way* that you did it.

You're entitled to your opinion, but it's the Gen III, Gen IV hasn't been released yet. The car at the Holden/Ford show that got 675 rwhp yesterday (500rwkw) was running 15psi boost.

Hi

Was there much done to the LS1 internals in the FORD vs Expensive Daewoo comp? I dont have a clue about the LS1 and was just wondering on the strength of the standard internals.

He has a stroker motor, 6.3 litre I believe. He has several threads over on ls1.com.au about his car/motor etc. A stroker tends to improve low end power/torque more than top end, although of course the blower makes up for the top end :)

Here's his initial thread: http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=20678

There have been cars pushing close to 400 rwkw with totally stock internals and 11 psi boost. They are pretty strong as stock. There was a car on Autospeed a few weeks back claiming 480 rwkw or so with stock internals (apart from heads/cam)on 9 psi boost.

The show was awesome! so much variety in the cars it was so mad! It was so hard to determine which was the best and I'm annoyed I missed the dyno run for the phase 3 turbo, apparently something with bolts on the dyno held it up and I missed it. Did anyone else notice that guy saying 500 or whatever horsepower roughly equates to the same in kw? pretty bloody roughly alright! lol

Drew- I checked out your site, nice car!

I got the Phase III on vid, downloading it now, I also got Bob Romano's private ride (EBII V8) which pulled 414RWHP.

I met Goldie there, his turbo is awesome - looking forward to the cruise, should be 40 cars apparently. :spoton:

Thanks Glenn.

I think what he might have meant is RWHP is roughly equal to FWKW. Eg the GTS at 300 kw fly has about 300 rwhp when dynoed. It's a rough guide but should be somewhere in the ballpark.

My car standard when dyoned got 245 rwhp and is supposed to be 235 fwkw.

woohoo Brian, well done champ-surely it is the most powerful privately owned T :spoton:

Peter, the ute must surely have more done than a ph3 kit, just that from the owners I know with the Ph3 aren't getting close to 421rwkw

Congratulations regardless of work that has been done-first class effort :gooff:

Peter, whens the ute going down the strip :msm:
