Hmmm Im sure one I looked at at a dealer just had a small level at the side.. must be confused.

These seats have the long bar that runs right accross the width of the footwell to enable moving the seat back and forward... if you know what I mean? The standard seats have just the small lever at the side.

When you say factory fitted option, you mean its not a problem but a lot of the autos have this noise? It was the lady owner who owned it who told us about the respray, she seemed pretty genuine and offered the information herself without me asking anything, so I doubt they are trying to hide a crash or anything like that. Did surprise me though. I was more worried about the quality of the job, whether the paint starts to peel or craze in 12 months etc, Ive heard of some horror stories before. I spoke with her husband on the mobile, and he said the brakes had been machined because of shudder under warrantee, so I dont think its got a perf brake package. These seats sound like sports leather after your description, they werent the normal type of smooth shiny type leather, and they had the xr logo in the backs so must have been aftermarket fitted huh, they matched the back seats too so the whole lot must have been done. I didnt really like the door trims either, they were all black and looked very plain, I cant rmemeber the exact details now though.

I took it for a spin and drove well enough but... -the brakes squeeled on forst few stops until they warmed up. -When sitting at idle and going from P to D there was a definate mild clunk from the rear of the car, same going into R. Whats this noise, is it the diff gears just getting a nudge from the slight movement of the driveshaft when engaging gear? Do all T's do this? -The car has had a respray, blueprint was the original colour though, the guys wife said there had been a few nicks and bumps etc so they got the whole thing fixed up.. looked pretty good though. Not sure I like the leather seats though, I think they must be the sports ones, but I havent seen pics of what they should look like. PS stopped at a ford dealer on way to see car and they had a GT boss 290 in the light silver colour with the orange striping, WOW they look awesome really tough. (Im a mopar nut through and through, got a 360 Charger in the shed so I dont say these things easily!)

Have you more photos of the car? And can you list some of the things you "forgot" that youve added? I know what you mean, I listed my pathfinder on carsales and I kept remembering things that I had done to it to add to the list.

Whats a "SSS auto" And "Phantom Sedan" just refers to the colour right? You are a long way away, its a bit more than my budget and I dont really like the colour... An hour away? are you near the SA VIC border? Having said all that its still got me thinking...

That one got sold last night... shame So if the colour screen isnt touch how does that effect the way everything is controlled? The standard screen is touch enabled isnt it?

Ill probably buy a T this week, but theres a few vasics Im not sure of. Firstly Ive got max 28k to spend but Ill probably aim for 25 or less. I want to mod the car to get into the 12's. OK... 1: Premium sound means what? Is that how you get the bigger colour touch screen which is why everyone says its a must? Or is it just a sub and better soeakers etc? 2: 4 speed auto.... all the BA's I see advertised have 4 speed autos, is that the only auto option on these? (I want auto) What does the 6 speed auto come on ? BF only? 3: BA vs BF, I read the gearing is different so BF is quicker, by how much? What other differences are there? I probably cant afford a BF but Im interested to know. Im in Adelaide so if anyone knows of an XR6 in my price range... Id like to buy something already modded perhaps so I can save a little in the long run.

Ahh so the stripes only came on the GT's huh, they are FPV are they? and only V8's? Im feeling pretty low about getting this car, Ive had a VH 360ci Charger for about 16 years, Im a devoted MOPAR nut, but theres no new Mopars here in Aus so whats a guy to do, at least none that can fit a family and go like stink...

Which ones have the stripes on the sides?

Im keen on buying an XR6T to modify. Im keen to know what to look for. Whats considered the best model and what are the differences between the BA and the BF? Were there any major fixes in the BF? What are the cosmetic differences, anyone got a link to good pictures of the 2 different models? Which ones have the cool double sidestripes either side, I really want that, or at least get it added. Ill spend about $27000 tops and from what Ive read, $2000 extra might get me into the 12's. Ok Ive just looked and the BF is not even a year old, I think. So there wont be any near my price range.... Are there any variants within the BA range?
